Started in 10 games and earned honorable mention all-Big 12 honors from The Associated Press ... tallied two tackles in ISU’s Independence Bowl appearance ... sat out the Baylor contest due to an injured shoulder ... finished the year ninth on the squad with 55 tackles, including 47 solo stops and two tackles for a loss ... led ISU in pass breakups, ending the year with 10 ... concluded the regular season with six tackles in ISU’s fourth-straight win vs. Iowa ... finished the Kansas State game with nine tackles, including a season-high two tackles for loss ... had a season-best three pass breakups vs. Oklahoma State ... made one of the biggest plays of his career when he broke up Kirk Farmer’s fade pass to Justin Gage in ISU’s game-winning goal line stand in the final minute at Missouri ... both players jumped for the ball at the same time, but Austin was able to knock the ball out of the 6-foot, 4-inch receiver’s hands ...
