| A two-time all-conference performer, Tanner was a key defensive playmaker in El Camino College's 2006 drive to its first Calfornia JC championship since 1971. Team finished 12-2, with Tanner posting 48 total tackles, picking off four balls, and breaking up seven passes. As a freshman in 2005, he had six interceptions and nine pass break ups, plus 52 tackles. A 2006 pre-season JC All-American pick by JCFootball.com. Plans to receive his AA degree in summer 2007. Prepped at Lakewood (Calif.) High, and was part of their 2004 CIF Division I Semifinal team with USC-linebacker Luther Brown and Arizona-linebacker Adrian McCovey. Attracted considerable major college interest but was a non-qualifer. |
