ISU lands commitment from Texas linebacker
Scout.com Recruiting Update

Posted Oct 28, 2009

The Iowa State football program has been hot recently both on the football field and on the recruiting trail. They stayed hot on Wednesday night when Morton Ranch (TX) High School's Floyd Mattison committed to the Iowa State coaching staff.

Cyclone Sports Report recently received confirmation that Floyd Mattison has joined the Iowa State 2010 recruiting class.

The 5-foot-11, 191-pound linebacker becomes the second linebacker and he had told CSR recently that his visit to Ames for the Baylor game had really pushed Iowa State to the top. CSR will have more on the commitment in the next few days.
