"I now have offers from Maryland, Pittsburgh, Iowa State, Purdue, FIU, and Middle Tennessee," said Faustin. "I'm looking at academics first, then my relationship with the coaching staff, and really just where I fit in best after that."
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound cornerback was recruited first by Iowa State during the spring. "Coach Shane Burnham and his dad (Coach Wally Burnham) both came down and looked at me during my spring practices," said Faustin. "Then I have just been mainly talking with Coach (Shane) Burnham on the phone. He really likes the way I play and feels that I would really be a good fit at Iowa State."
Jhony has been on the go all summer long seeing as many campuses as possible. "So far I have been to camps at Tennessee and Alabama," he said. "I have also been to Middle Tennessee, Clemson, Auburn, and Vanderbilt for unofficial visits. I'm hoping to take an official visit to Iowa State in the fall."
Faustin feels that a decision will likely not happen during the summer. "I could make it this summer but I'm trying to wait," he said. "I want to take my visits and then I'll probably make my decision during the fall."
