Howard In No Hurry To Make Decision

After a recent unofficial visit to the University of Florida, Cedar Falls (IA) High School's Darion Howard is still looking to wait for a while before he makes a final decision on what school he will attend next year.

"I went down a couple weeks ago to Florida and it went real well," he said. "They have not offered yet but I talked with the coaches and they are definitely interested."

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound tight end has offers from Iowa State, Central Michigan, Temple, UNI, and North Dakota. Darion says that two of those schools will definitely be getting official visits. "I know that I will be taking official visits to Iowa State and UNI," said Howard. "I think I will likely be taking my official visit to Iowa State for the Kansas game. I think I'm going with (Cyclone commit) Josh Lenz. We have definitely talked about doing that."

Howard says that Miami (Ohio) is also starting to recruit him pretty hard. "One of their coaches is coming to watch me practice on the 22nd and they call me a lot," he said.

Darion is in no hurry to make a final decision but he won't be necessarily waiting until signing day before he makes his decision. "Once I find the one that fits I'll make my choice," said Howard. "I don't have any set date but I will likely take all five visits before I make my decision."
