The 6-foot-4, 225-pound tight end also noticed how much his family liked it also. "They were really impressed and I would have say that Iowa State being close is somewhat of a factor," he said. "All my uncles and grandparents live in Carroll (IA) and so they would be really close."
Howard really increased his chances of getting a scholarship offer from the Cyclones when he performed well at their recent camp. "I didn't feel too much pressure," he said. "I just pretty much did the best I could do and hoped it was good enough."
While Howard is not ready to make a decision just yet, he is definitely excited about the possibility of playing in the Big 12. "It would definitely be a great experience," he said. "The schedule they play is great competition and getting to do that week in and week out would be fun to do."
Howard is not sure when he will make his final decision but he does know one thing for sure. "I know it will 100% when I make it," he said. "Right now I still want to talk it over with my family before I make any decision. I just don't want to make any decision until I'm 100% sure of my decision."
