"I'm 99% sure that I will be committing to Iowa State," said Wenrick. "My visit went really well. I really liked the place a lot."
Craig and his family watched Iowa State's camp on Saturday and also toured the school before meeting with Cyclone Head Coach Gene Chizik. "We had a great talk this afternoon. He really knows what he's doing," said Wenrick. "I think he's going to really get things turned around at Iowa State. I think they'll go from 3-8 last year to a winning season this year and then even better in the future."
The 6-foot-5, 235-pound tight end also liked getting to visit the Academic Building at Iowa State. "I was really happy with what they told me," he said. "I plan on majoring in Kinesiology and I think they really know what they are doing at Iowa State."
Wenrick also knows where his family stands on Iowa State. "My whole family came with me on the trip and they all just loved it," he said. "They would fully support me if I committed to Iowa State."
