The 5-foot-9 1/2, 186-pound running back spent last season rushing for 1,500 yards on 200 carries and scored 16 touchdowns. "I feel I'm a playmaker that can change the game," said Wright. "I just want to keep improving my first step and acceleration past the defensive backs."
Wright has been offered by UCONN, Iowa State, West Virginia, UCF, FIU,Troy, and Cincinnati and is already setting up his fall visits. "I'm likely going to visit West Virginia, Auburn, and Cincinnati at the moment," he said. "I'm also talking with (Iowa State assistant) Coach Fountain about a visit to Iowa State."
Wright says he has been in constant communication with the Cyclone staff throughout the summer. "My coach had sent my film and they liked it and then they offered," he said. "I talk with Coach Fountain every week."
Wright says that location won't be an issue for him and that he wants to wait to see who else might offer him. "I'm not ready yet to make any decisions," he said. "There is more schools that I'm hoping to get offered by and one of them would be Kentucky. I'm definitely waiting until the fall to make a decision."
