Clint Huntrods update

Huntrods projected to play tackle at next level

David Garvin of Heartland Recruiting and TheInsiders gives Cyclone Nation an update on Collins-Maxwell-Baxter offensive lineman Clint Huntrods, one of the top recruits in the state of Iowa for 2003.

Huntrods returns as the strong side tackle for Baxter head coach Ron Luther this season and plans on staying outside in Division-I.

"I'm being recruited solely as a tackle," Huntrods told HR on Friday night. "We begin the season Friday night against Colo-Nesco.

Huntrods has the frame to grow at six-foot-six and 260 lbs and has been clocked at 4.9 in the forty. You add a 3.7 GPA and 25 ACT to that resume and you have the total package.

"I currently have offers from Iowa State, Iowa and Northern Iowa," he said. "Kansas, Kansas State and Nebraska are also recruiting me.

Do you have a particular favorite?

"No sir, not really," Clint said. "I'm pretty open."
