Get notes from Iowa State's 70-59 win over Savannah State on Wednesday night. The win put the Cyclones at 7-3 on the season.

-         True freshmen Dodie Dunson and Cory Johnson started the first games of their career.

 

-         Rahshon clark tallied his 700th point of his career in the first half…Clark scored a season-high 16 points.

 

-         Jessan Gray suffered a broken nose in the first half and did not return.

 

-         Wesley Johnson scored in double figures for the eight time in 10 games with 15 points.

 

-         ISU had a 38-20 advantage on the glass…ISU has been out-rebounded just twice this season in 10 games.

 

-         ISU shot more free throws (34-8) than it’s opponent for the seventh time this season.

 

-         Wesley Johnson notched his fourth double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

 

-         Mike Taylor dished out a team-high five assists…Taylor has recorded five or more assists in the last eight games.

 

-         Clark had eight boards, the ninth time this season with eight or more rebounds.

 

-         ISU committed a season-low 10 turnovers.
