How Sweet it Is; Cyclones Off to NYC

Tied at 83-all, Kane drove to his right and flipped up a layup off the glass with 1.6 seconds left

A DeAndre Kane layup with seconds left punched Iowa State's ticket to the Sweet Sixteen this weekend in Madison Square Garden, where the Cyclones will face off against 7-seed UConn.

Kane captained ISU to the 85-83 win over North Carolina on Sunday in San Antonio, the Cyclones struggling at times offensively without key cog Georges Niang.

It''ll be ISU's first Sweet Sixteen appearance since 2000.

Tied at 83-all, Kane drove to his right and flipped up a layup off the glass with 1.6 seconds left. The Tar Heels advanced the ball up the court but time expired before they could call a timeout.

AllCyclones will have more from San Antonio on the win.
