Luna Says He's Committing to Cyclones

Butler (KS) JUCO defensive end Gabe Luna plans on committing to Iowa State on Tuesday evening, Luna told AllCyclones.com in a text.

The 6-foot-2, 250-pound defensive end received an Iowa State offer over the weekend of Nov. 22 for the Cyclones' game against Kansas. He chooses Iowa State over offers from Cal, Texas Tech and UNC-Charlotte.

Luna is attempting to reach ISU head coach Paul Rhoads via telephone. Rhoads is currently traveling.

"Iowa State feels like it's the best fit for me and I think Coach Bray (defensive ends coach, Curtis Bray) will be a great coach for me," Luna said in a text.

Luna's commitment would give Iowa State 19 commitments in the 2014 class and first player at the defensive line.

Bray and Rhoads attended Luna's last game with Butler on Dec. 8 against Iowa Western at the UNI Dome.

We will have our analysis later tonight. Head to the premium board to discuss the commitment with AllCyclones publisher Trey Scott here.
