Dunnellon (FL) defensive tackle Keiwan Jones has committed to Purdue, he told Scout.com early Monday.

"I called Coach (Darrell) Hazel and told him Monday morning," the 6-foot-2, 260-pound Jones said. "I love it in West Lafayette."

Jones had a top two of Purdue and Iowa State. He visited Purdue over the weekend and was in Ames for the Cyclones' game against Kansas over the weekend of Nov. 22.

The Boilermakers now have 12 commitments in their 2014 class, Jones being the first defensive tackle of the group for first-year head coach Hazel.

Missouri also pursued Jones but he wasn't interested.

I got an offer from Missouri but they don't really recruit me," Jones told Scout.com in an earlier interview. "I don't care if you're No. 1 in the nation, I want somebody who wants me."
