Semper Fi: Day Two West Recruiting Notebook
*Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne linebacker Keishawn Bierria has yet to name his top schools but spoke highly of the Oregon State Beavers and plans to take an official visit to Corvallis in January, which is the only visit he currently has scheduled. *Studio City (Calif.) Harvard Westlake offensive lineman Thomas Oser is focused on Stanford, Vanderbilt and Oregon. The talented lineman will take official visits to Stanford on January 10th and Vanderbilt on January 25th. Oser's high school teammate, Chad Kanoff, is a Vanderbilt verbal commit. *Petaluma (Calif.) Casa Grande defensive lineman Elijah Qualls, a longtime Washington commit, is solid with the Huskies and is still doing some recruiting for his future team. Qualls will head to campus after graduation in January. *Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey cornerback Daquawn Brown recently committed to Washington State and says he's very solid with the Cougars program and is keeping in constant contact with the staff, citing a great relationship with the coaches. *Fallbrook (Calif.) offensive tackle Sean Dowling committed to Vanderbilt in late December and is set to enroll in classes immediately after the Semper Fidelis game. *San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln athlete Tyree Robinson said his commitment to Oregon is solid, even if head coach Chip Kelly were to leave for an NFL job. The big issue will be if the staff left as well, then he and his brother Tyrell would likely look at opening up their recruitment. USC and Washington have both continued to recruit the twins and could get visits if they decided to open things up. *Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy Prep wide receiver Devon Allen said UCLA still leads but he'll take two more visits before making a decision. Stanford is set for (Jan. 11) and his last trip could go to Arkansas or Arizona State. Allen has already visited Oregon and Florida State. *San Clemente (Calif.) offensive lineman Sean Harlow has been committed to Washington since the summer but said he's seriously considering Oregon State. Harlow said his head is with the Huskies, his heart is with the Beavers and he should be ready to make a final decision shortly. *Oakley (Calif.) Freedom wide out Darrell Daniels committed last summer to Washington but will take a visit to UCLA (Jan. 11). Daniels said he wants to give the Bruins a serious look but his commitment to the Huskies is very strong and he's not wavering one bit. *Fresno (Calif.) San Joaquin Memorial punter Andrew Antognoli committed to Harvard in December after taking his official visit to campus. Greg Biggins, Kevin Carden, and Annabel Stephan contributed to this report.
