He was arrested around 1:15 a.m. and released a few hours later, according to officials.
There’s no word yet on how this will affect his eligibility for the Cotton Bowl, but if he is suspended, the season finale against TCU will have been the final game of his five-year career in a Sooner uniform that started with a redshirt back in 2008.
McGee missed the first six games this season due to a violation of team policy.
He then returned for the Notre Dame game and has since recorded 14 tackles, including 2.5 for loss and a sack, in a reserve role.
The redshirt senior has started 15 games in his career and played in 34.
A possible suspension would significantly damage OU’s depth on the interior defensive line, forcing Jordan Phillips to assume a much bigger role behind starters Casey Walker and Jamarkus McFarland.
More information will be released about this situation when it becomes available.
