ISU covets Jones, but will he leave Florida? (TI)

Although it is relatively early in the recruiting process, Iowa State has already begun its scouting of seniors-to-be in the state of Florida. A few of the top players have already received scholarship offers from the Cyclones and some others could in the near future. Here is a sampling of some of the players within the state of Florida that Dan McCarney's staff is currently recruiting.

OFFENSE: Charlie Jones, RB, 5-11, 195, Homestead (Fla.) South Dade H.S. He is perhaps the top tailback on the Cyclones' board. Jones is a powerful back with good speed and rushed for 1,570 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior. Jones will be a three-year starter for South Dade.
